At Terra Verde, the outdoor spaces are designed to be part of your event — not just the backdrop.
Our garden is divided into three distinct areas, each offering a unique atmosphere that can be shaped to suit your needs. The Oriental Corner, with its tiered granite and schist platforms, works beautifully as a small stage or a quiet presentation area. The space in front of the main house is perfect for parties or evening gatherings, with direct access to both the kitchen and the Skills Shop — a converted stable that serves as an adaptable indoor venue.
Alongside the garden, a flowing river adds a natural charm, and the former vegetable garden has been transformed into a relaxed river beach area with traditional Portuguese games. If required, this space can also accommodate a tent or marquee for added cover or a change of pace during your event.
These outdoor settings allow you to host talks, performances, group sessions, or celebrations — all in a setting that encourages connection and ease.
The Linden Tree Garden: A Naturally Elegant Setting for Celebrations
At the centre of the garden stands Tilia, our towering linden tree — over 40 metres tall and more than 200 years old. Its vast canopy offers generous natural shade, creating a cool and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
Beneath the tree lies a large stone table for eight, perfect for intimate moments or as a central feature. The surrounding area comfortably accommodates additional tables and seating for up to 40 guests, making it an ideal location for outdoor dining, toasts, or relaxed gatherings.
With the gentle flow of the river just alongside, this space offers a naturally soothing soundscape and a timeless setting that elevates any celebration. It’s a truly special place where guests can connect, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the occasion.

Located on the east side of the garden, the Oriental Corner is a distinctive, multi-level space featuring three tiers of seating platforms, crafted from natural granite and schist. With the river flowing just beside it, this area offers a peaceful yet visually striking setting that works beautifully for a wide range of event formats.
Its structure makes it ideal for transforming into a stage for live music, a presentation area, or even an informal lounge for relaxed conversations. Like all spaces at Terra Verde, the Oriental Corner is highly adaptable, providing organisers with the flexibility to shape it to suit their vision and the flow of their event.
The Courtyard: A Welcoming Space for Gatherings and Receptions
Stretching the full length and width of the main house, the gravelled courtyard at the front of the property offers a spacious and versatile setting, ideal for welcoming guests and hosting larger social moments. Lined with fairy lights and scattered with high tables, it sets a warm, celebratory tone from the very first impression.
This open-air space is perfectly positioned for pre-event gatherings, welcome drinks, or informal celebrations, with seamless access to the indoor kitchen for catering support and the Skills Shop, which serves as a flexible indoor backup or overflow area. The nearby orchard adds charm and greenery, creating a natural frame for the setting.
Whether used for a festive welcome, an evening cocktail hour, or a central gathering point before guests explore the more secluded corners of the property, the courtyard delivers a blend of atmosphere, function, and flexibility, ready to support the flow of your event with ease.
The Riverside Field: A Flexible 5,000 m² Event Space by the Water
Bordering the river, this 5,000 m² open field offers a dynamic setting for large gatherings and outdoor celebrations. The space includes a small river beach where guests can comfortably dip their feet in the water, adding a natural, refreshing touch to any event.
A series of pre-built wooden structures are positioned throughout the area, ready to be used for food stalls, traditional games, market stands, or other custom features. These installations add character and convenience, allowing for a wide range of creative setups.
The field easily accommodates a large stretch tent, making it suitable for events that require covered areas for dining, music, or group activities. Surrounded by greenery and with the gentle sound of the river nearby, this space combines scale, flexibility, and ambiance — ideal for organisers looking to create an engaging outdoor experience.

Just next to the main property lies our 3-hectare Game Field, a wide open space ideal for large events, group activities, or team-building sessions. Flat, shaded sections make it equally suitable for camping setups, offering flexibility for multi-day programmes or overflow accommodation.
Bordering the field is the Magic Forest, a quiet, untouched area with yoga platforms nestled under the trees. This serene space is perfect for quiet reflection, movement sessions, or simply stepping away from the energy of the main event to reconnect with nature.
